  • Role and Relationships: She serves as Halftrack’s secretary and occasional date, often acting as a distraction for the General. She has a romantic interest in Beetle Bailey (later becoming his girlfriend) and is constantly pursued by Killer

  • Appearance: She is depicted with light skin, blue eyes, and blond hair, typically wearing black heels and a black or red sleeveless dress. Her design was inspired by Marilyn Monroe

  • Origin: She officially debuted in the strip on November 17, 1971, though she made a cameo in 1964.  She is from Amarillo, Texas

  • Controversy and EvolutionInitially portrayed as a "ditzy" figure for Halftrack to ogle, she faced criticism for sexism in the 1970s and 80s. In 1984, Walker altered her character to be a competent professional and changed her wardrobe to less form-fitting dresses to address reader complaints.
