SIGNED, NUMBERED, LIMITED EDITION of FOUR...ONLY TWO AVAILABLE "Snoopy" first imagined himself as a World War I flying ace on October 10, 1965, making 2015 the 50th anniversary of this popular persona. When asked about the origins of Snoopy's aviator role, Charles Schulz credited his son Monte's interest in making plastic airplane models as his chief inspiration. Snoopy's first appearance as the World War I Flying Ace was in the Peanuts comic strip from October 10, 1965, which saw him climb on top of his doghouse (claiming it was a Sopwith Camel biplane) to do battle with the Red Baron. The fantasy ended when Linus came up behind him and imitated the noise of a machine gun. Snoopy then remarks, "Maybe I can get a job with a good commercial airline." "Snoopy" of Charlie Brown fame created by the one and only Charles Schultz. "Snoopy vs the Red Baron" has captured the love and imagination of everyone that has enjoyed the movies and cartoons based on this beloved Charles Schultz character. Glass design by Dan Bascobert.
